New School Times for January 2023
Tue 13 Dec 2022Dear parents and carers, just a quick reminder of our new timings for the start of the Spring term on Tuesday January 3rd 2023.
Nursery – 8.50am – 3.20pm (Wednesday 8.50am – 10.50am / 1.20pm – 3.20 pm)
Reception – 8.50am – 3.10pm
Year 1 – 8.50am – 3.15pm
Year 2 – 8.50am – 3.15pm
Year 3 – 8.50am – 3.20pm
Year 4 – 8.50am – 3.20pm
Year 5 – 8.50am – 3.20pm
Year 6 – 8.50am – 3.20pm
Any children arriving in school after 9.00am will receive a late mark. Doors will open at 8.50am and will close at 9.00am which gives you plenty of time if you need to make your way to the back playground to drop off EYFS children following children being dropped into the front of the school.
Kind regards
The School Office

Tuesday 13th December 2022 - School is Open. Please Take Care on Untreated Surfaces.
Mon 12 Dec 2022Dear Parents and Carers,
The site team have been working hard today and have created a clear path into the school so that the children can enter and leave the site as safe as possible. However, I cannot guarantee what the weather will do overnight and how low the temperature will drop. This will have an impact on site safety tomorrow.
The school will be open tomorrow (Tuesday) as normal. However, the playground remains out of bounds at all times as does the EYFS outside play area. The front gate remains the only way in and out of the school.
If you choose to keep your child at home tomorrow, this will be an authorised absence. Please advise the school office via email or the absence line if you wish to do this.
All afterschool clubs will be cancelled tomorrow.
Stay safe

After School Clubs – Spring 1 Half Term
Mon 12 Dec 2022Dear Parents and Carers,
Please find attached the clubs we are offering at Lessness Heath for the Spring 1 half term, including dates, times, and costs (if any – some are free!)
Please note that some clubs are only being offered to specific age ranges/year groups.
Please pay close attention to the ‘How to sign up’ section of the table on the next page as this does vary depending on whether or not the club has a cost or is run by an outside provider. For Lessness internal clubs, simply click on the link and complete the form.
We will operate on a first come first serve basis and children who do not receive a place will be placed on a waiting list.
If your child attended one of our continuing clubs from the last half term, please apply again so we know that your child intends to continue with their place.
All sign-ups must be completed by Monday 2nd January, please.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. R. Jackson
Assistant Headteacher

Monday 12th December 2022 - School is open. Please take care on untreated surfaces.
Mon 12 Dec 2022Dear Parents / Carers,
My Site manager has carried out a Risk Assessment of the site today and I can confirm that the school will be open. However, there will be a few changes to our normal day:
- Only the front gate of the school will be open, not the back. There will be a clear path created so that all children can enter the school safely.
- Children will not be going out at playtime or lunchtime.
- If you chose to send your child to school - they will not be playing outside in the snow. Please prepare them for this before you bring them in!
If parents choose to keep their children at home today, I will of course authorise this absence - just make sure you contact the office to let us know. How often do we get snow like this for the children to play in? I’m therefore more than happy for you to keep them at home and let them enjoy the snow! Although we will do all we can to make the site as safe as possible please be careful on your way to us if you do decide to bring your children in.
Stay safe,
Miss Bolton
